What is COD Unbox: Return on the Spot?
Shopee Philippines has released the latest information that from May 26, 2025, cash on delivery unboxing: return on the spot will be considered returns/refunds. At the same time, the existing shipping fees associated with returns/refunds will also take effect on June 1, 2025. COD Unbox: Return on the Spot is a service that allows eligible buyers to open the outer packaging (such as pouches and/or outer boxes) on the spot after cash on delivery, conduct a physical inspection and return the package to the rider.
✅ Return on the Spot applies to the following sellers:
- COD is enabled as a payment option. You can check via Seller Center or Shopee app:
- Seller Center: Shipping Setting.
- Shopee app: My Shop > Shop Settings > Shipping Options > Shop Shipping Setting.
- Seller Center: Shipping Setting.
- Shopee app: My Shop > Shop Settings > Shipping Options > Shop Shipping Setting.
If the buyer finds that the item is damaged, wrong, missing, or does not want to receive the package on the spot, they can immediately notify the delivery person. Sellers can still file claims for losses caused by courier errors (such as damaged, lost/incomplete packages, wrong shipments/exchanges, and losses). But starting June 1, 2025, following the Return/Refund policy, a forward shipping fee will be charged for Return on the Spot orders. To save on this cost, seller may enroll in the RR Shipping Fee Support program.
If the ordered items are intact and/or complete, buyers can conduct a physical/visual inspection, but are not allowed to try or test the ordered items. Buyers are not allowed to open, damage or tamper with the manufacturer packaging, including any manufacturer seals or stickers, or even test the ordered items.
Below is a detailed list of products that are not eligible for COD Unbox: Return on the Spot:
Any tampered manufacturer packaging/seals will be rejected and will not be eligible for the "Cash on Delivery: Return on the Spot" return service.
